The first thing that attracted me to this design is the Japanese landscape style, that has empty background with this single tree. I liked the great use of red over the black branches and white background; it really makes the image more dynamic. I also liked how the text is placed on the side not on the top or in the center, that get your attention immediately.
I like the minimal feel of the design. The use of buttons in the 0s and Os is playful and recalls the round shapes of the blossoms. This helps to further integrate the text and image.
